David Bowe 'Life on Mars?' Amigurumi Doll

In case there was any doubt that I've sold my soul to David Bowie. Please release me from this curse

This was such a special project for me, just something I really wanted to make. Let me tell you about his tie, because that was actually pretty fun to make. I bought a small bit of shiny metallic fabric, glued it to some white felt for stability, painted the little blue dots with a toothpick and of course the stripes, and fabric-glued the entire piece to his chest. I use "Liquid Stitch" fabric glue, pin the piece in place, and let it dry for a good 12 hours, which holds really well and is much easier than sewing especially since I didn't want my ugly stitching to be seen.

Used the fringe technique for his hair. Man, that super-mullet was a challenge to get right, lots of haircutting involved, but I'm very proud of the results! It's nice and fluffy and spikey.

He measures about 10" tall and I'm probably going to keep him forever.
