Flying Type Eeveelution Amigurumi

Made a fake Flying-type Eeveelution for 's Eevee contest. The contest required using one of the Eevee patterns made by  and for this one, I used the basic Eevee and then created my own ears, tail, etc. fav.me/d7c56b8 (Also, if you haven't seen Aphid's works before, PLEASE go take a look. Not only does she take the time to create free patterns out of the goodness of her heart, but she's kind of a crochet wizard).

Let me start by saying that I am TERRIBLE at creating character designs. OC's are not my thing. So my idea was to find a nice fan-made  Eeveelution and just recreate it in crochet. Once I decided I wanted to do flying, I found that I couldn't pick one single design and instead just combined different elements together as well as my own ideas to create this flying eevee. It's so hard to design an Eevee! It has to be simple enough to look like the rest of the Eevee clan, yet original enough to be more than a copy of an already-existing Eevee. Then came really thinking about how it represents its type: What color should it be? Neutral, like a bird Pokémon or colored like the sky? What about wings? Do any Eevee's have major additional features? What about designs? Ha, I really had fun with this guy.

As for the name, I still can't decide. Maybe Aveon? Zephyreon? Aeoleon? Ornitheon? Strateon? Cireon? Nimbeon? Celesteon? Names are haaard. Aveon sounds best, but the spelling looks awkward. I also like Celesteon.

Flying Eevee would probably evolve at a certain level using some sort of hold item that doesn't exist yet, something like a Light Feather or a Long Feather. I just love flying Pokémon. My Fly HM user is usually one pumped up Pokémon, but honestly, I'm not sure if I can see a Flying Eevee as being something I could keep in my party. I like my nice beefy bird on my team.

I really love the Eeveelutions. I hope one day they make one in each type, I really do. A Dragon Eevee or a Fighting Eevee would be really cool. Heck, I've seen some great art of a Normal Eevee that just evolves regularly by leveling up, but it seems too late for that to ever happen. It also detracts from Eevee's purpose as a Pokemon: Evolution.

It seems that I have a lot of repressed opinions about Eevee's.

Somebody make a dragon Eevee please.
